Close Up & Private | Ladies

Close Up & Private should be on your check every week list. It is honestly the most refreshing, visually stimulating and inspiring classic Americana menswear project I've come across (funny thing is that the project is from a Ukranian-born, Denmark based artist). I've used the photos once before, but this time the project struck me for a different reason.

I've noticed recently that they've broadened their horizons to include women wearing men's clothing. I've given brief thoughts on the subject before and it has been a topic of conversation on Mr. Davis' blog, but the photos below seemed to prove my point again - if done well, and with confidence, women can look absolutely stunning and downright womanly wearing men's clothing. I present to you further evidence:

These two aren't necessarily including menswear, but they're stunning photos anyways

I kind of want to meet this girl, take her out for dinner or a prohibition-era libation, see what she's all about...

Seriously though, check out Close Up & Private.  You will NOT be disappointed.

Great photos, thanks for sharing. Will be checking them out very soon. Also a fan of us ladies interpreting the menswear for ourselves, as you said, with confidence, done well...and with pearl earrings of course.

I agree - they styled her well so she pulls it off without being Diane Keaton in a vest with hat + tie.

We need to get her in a Pierrepont Hicks bowtie...
